Temple Chambers (Barristers & Solicitors) is a law firm that specializes in various aspects of law, in domestic and international, commercial and business law. Our clients, both domestic and international, call upon us to handle the structural, regulatory and tax aspects of their transactions, as well as to negotiate and effectuate joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, privatization, commercialization, commercial real estate financing and cross border financing and leasing transactions. The firm of lawyers pool their collective skills, resources, expertise and knowledge together; and we are known for our ability to offer practical and creative business solutions to our clients.

 We recognize the peculiar nature of Nigeria's Privatization Program as well as its legal and regulatory framework. Furthermore, in view of the need to take maximum advantage of the lessons from the privatization experience in other jurisdictions, the firm works in partnership with international law firms. Our firm's retainer-ship spans across several establishments. We have worked extensively with financial institutions  large and medium sized manufacturing companies, building and construction, computer and information service organisations, communications, trading and service companies, and mining and energy companies.

We also specialize in rendering expert legal services to corporate bodies. A Special Member of the Abuja Stock Exchange, the firm is also retained by paramount federal ministries and paratatals and State Governments. Furthermore, the firm represents some foreign companies/corporations and their Nigerian affiliates.

 Enewa Rita Chris-Garuba (Mrs.) LL.M (Lon), MCIArb (UK), FCIArb.

Enewa Rita Chris-Garuba (Mrs.) was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1980. Following four years of tutelage at the Chambers of Chief Rotimi Williams, she attended King's College Strand, University of London, where her Masters degree covered pertinent specialists areas that shaped her future thrust in legal practice. 

Her particular subjects were Company Law, International Business Transactions, Business Taxation and Intellectual Property. She has since had extensive experience in corporate restructuring energy, investments mergers and acquisitions, tax issues, project finance and corporate due diligence. She has also been involved in all the firm's capital market transactions often more challenged by the near impossible issues. She is also a member and an Arbitrator of the Industrial Arbitration Panel, Nigeria.

Enewa Rita Chris-Garuba is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators UK, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators Nigeria, the recipient of the Prince Bola Ajibola Prize for International Arbitration and the overall Best Candidate in 2014.

She is a Member/Arbitrator of the Industrial Arbitration Panel specialising in Industrial Relations and Labour and Employment issues.

 She is a member of the International Bar Association, Section on Buisness Law; Nigerian Bar Association, a recipient of the Alumnus of the year award of the Law Faculty University of Lagos. She has practiced in other jurisdictions giving her a broad and balanced perspective. Also, she is a member of the Association of Communications Lawyers, Abuja Initiative and other socio-political organisations. 

Presently the firm can rely on its associates:

ANGELA UZOKWE LL.B(Hons) BL. Called to the Nigerian Bar in 1988 after which she joined the firm in 1989 as junior counsel. She has since worked consistently in corporate commercial documentations.

AYODE AJE LL.B(Hons) BL, LL.M. He was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1994. His particular strength is in research, providing invaluable material answers to all areas of the intentive field of advocacy.

We will further be assisted by CHINYERE NWOGWU LL.B(Hons) BL, and LAWAL AHMED Jnr. LL.B(Hons), BL, LL.M(Dundee) both also of the firm.

CAROLINE NDIDI AKOBUNDU LL.B (Hons) BL. Obtained an LL.B (Hons) second class upper division. Was called to the Nigerian Bar 2003. Her forte is in the area of Corporate/Company Law. She is head of Chambers.

THADEUS ODO LL.B(Hons) BL. Was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2003. He has been involved in the firms litigation department.

ABRAHAM OMAH LL.B(Hons) BL. Joined the firm in 2010.

JENNIFER GEORGE NKUTTUFOR, LL.B(Hons) BL. She is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, Bauchi Project Professional and the Nigerian Association of Petroleum.

NENE PHILOMENA EMESEALU. Born in 1971 she was called to the Nigerian Bar in March 1995. She graduated from Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Edo State of Nigeria. She has her postgraduate MBA from Cardiff University, Wales UK in 2008. She heads the department in chambers of International Business Transactions/ International Joint Ventures and Trade

The firm is also supported by para-legal support staff.
